Our current practices

MyLifeTool.me currently provides free planning tools for moving and other real-life transitions. You do not need an account or an email address to use the tools.

This policy describes the site's current behavior. It does not describe services that have not been added.

What we collect

The tools do not require you to submit personal information to use them. Calculator values are used in your browser to produce the result on the page.

The moving checklist can save your checked-task progress in the browser's localStorage. That progress is tied to the browser and device where you use the checklist; it is not connected to an account and is not transmitted to a MyLifeTool.me server by the checklist.

Google Analytics

MyLifeTool.me uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site and to improve its planning tools. Google Analytics may measure categories of information such as pages viewed, referring pages, browser and device characteristics, approximate geographic region, and general interactions with pages.

Google Analytics may use cookies or similar browser storage to distinguish visits and measure site usage. Calculator values and moving checklist progress are not intentionally sent to Google Analytics as custom measurement data.

What we do not currently use

  • Accounts or sign-in for the planning tools.
  • Email collection required to use any tool.
  • Advertising services or advertising cookies in the current site.

Browser storage choices

If the checklist is available on your device, you can remove its saved progress by clearing the site's local browser data. Turning off or restricting browser storage may prevent the checklist from saving progress, but the checklist can still be viewed and used during that visit.

Future updates to this policy

This policy will be updated if our analytics or advertising practices change — check back for the current version. Any future service that changes what the site collects or stores should be reflected here as part of the site's current practices.
